  • Ryan Falconer Racing Engines manufactures the IRL Street V8. The engines were originally designed and manufactured by Chevrolet for the 2002 IRL season.

  • The original displacement of 214 cubic inches (3.4 liters) is the only available option for the IRL Street V8.

  • Can the IRL Street V8 be equipped with carburetors?
  • No. Carburetors are nowhere near as efficient as electronic fuel injection. All IRL Street V8 engines use MoTeC engine management systems.

  • The IRL Street V8 was specifically designed as a dry sump engine. The sump/crank girdle has separate scavenge sections that are actually cast into it.
