Who manufactures the Falconer L6?
Ryan Falconer Racing Engines manufactures the Falconer L6.
What displacements are available with the Falconer L6?
Displacements can range from 244 to 305 cubic inches (4.0 to 5.0 liters).
Can the Falconer L6 be equipped with carburetors?
No. Carburetors are nowhere near as efficient as electronic fuel injection. All Falconer L6 engines use MoTeC engine management systems.
Does the Falconer L6 have wet sump or dry sump oiling?
The Falconer L6 was specifically designed as a dry sump engine. The sump/crank girdle has separate scavenge sections that are actually cast into it.
Can the Falconer L6 be equipped with a wet sump oiling system?
No.
Is the Falconer L6 smog legal?
No.
Can the Falconer L6 be equipped with turbochargers or a supercharger?
Absolutely. We have built Falconer L6 engines with single and twin turbochargers, others with a single supercharger.
Does the Falconer L6 have overhead cams?
Yes, it is a dual overhead cam (DOHC) engine.
Can I get the Falconer L6 in reverse rotation?
No. Due to the construction of the sump/crank girdle which features built-in oil scavenge ports the Falconer L6 can only be standard rotation.
Is the Falconer L6 all aluminum?
Yes.
How much does the Falconer L6 weigh?
This varies based on the overall configuration. As a general rule, a naturally-aspirated variant of the Falconer L6 weighs in around 363 pounds (164.6 kg).
